What To Wear To The Pub Garden

15/06/2023

back to blog

Pub gardens are back in full swing and if you’re anything like us, you’ll be making plans for a round or two of drinks. It just tastes so much better sat in the sunshine surrounded by friends and family right?

Now we know the British weather isn’t the most reliable with one day being sunny and warm to the next being dark cold and gloomy. But we don’t want that to stop us enjoying a few drinks with friends.

If you’re working from home you’ve definitely been living in your comfies and probably need a reminder or some ideas on what to wear. We’ve rounded up our go-to fits for all occasions whether you’re just nipping down for a quick drink or enjoying quality time with friends and family.

Keep scrolling to see our top picks:

Casual

Seeing as all our plans will be outside for the near future you want to be dressed appropriately and that means layering. You can’t go wrong with jeans and a jacket. You can take off the jacket if it gets warmer or throw it back on in the evenings – it’s a classic combo. This BadRhino bomber jacket will go with all your lower half staples from jeans and joggers to shorts.

If the sun is making a firm appearance we’ve got another casual option you can rely on. Teaming a graphic print tee with jogger shorts takes the relaxed vibe up a gear. This Jack & Jones tee is a neutral base you can team with darker denim and jogger shorts to suit the look you’re going for.

Date Night

Catching up on some well-needed quality time with your other half? Dress to impress and go a little smarter with a short sleeve shirt and chinos shorts. If you need another layer just throw on a light jacket for extra warmth. This BadRhino shirt is an easy smart-casual option you can mix and match with chinos, denim jeans and shorts throughout the seasons.

Smart-Casual

Every man needs a t-shirt and jeans combo on rotation for smart-casual dressing. We want putting together outfits to be easy so having a line-up of t-shirts and jeans that can all be worn together makes it simple. Bring some colour into your wardrobe with this light pink t-shirt. If you want to keep it more on the low-key side of smart-casual just team with trainers.

Check shirts or any type of overshirt is a great way to sharpen up. They’re a great layering option for those days you’re not quite sure whether to brave just a t-shirt. Just throw on a basic crew neck tee and your go-to tapered jeans with a check shirt layered on top.

Sporty

If you’re heading to your local for a quick drink and there’s no dress code, jogger shorts and a basic crew neck is a staple sporty fit. When being comfy is your priority you may as well take full advantage. This set looks put together without having to think about it.
